What I Watched in September
An overview of what I watched in September.
Married Before Breakfast (1937)
Robert Young, they could never make me hate you. I need this on DVD. That scene where they're hiding out in the closet and the way he looks at her? So romantic.
First Love (1939)
Charming! I'll never get sick of a Cinderella story.
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios) (1988)
I love how colourful this was, and how dark the comedy was. Such a chaotic story but I was riveted! I've yet to not enjoy a Pedro Almodóvar film.
Weekend (Week End) (1967)
I'll just repeat what I said in my Letterboxd review: "WHAT? To all of this. Just... what?!"
The Story of Esther Costello (1957)
A perfect Joan Crawford melodrama (and a leftover from Summer Under the Stars). The story was compelling, but tragic.
ALSO WATCHED:
Bureau of Missing Persons (1933)
