Is there an amazing fashion show in this movie?
The Women: Yes, in glorious technicolor.
The Opposite Sex: Yes, in glorious Cinemascope.
Are there any men in this movie?
The Women: Only the best kind: unseen!
The Opposite Sex: Yes, for some reason.
How about a catfight on a ranch in Reno?
The Women: Yes, between Rosalind Russell and Paulette Goddard and it's glorious.
The Opposite Sex: Yes, because the only originality in this movie is the singing and dancing and the inclusion of on-screen men.
Does Mary win back Steven in the end? And is it done through exposing Crystal's affair with Buck Wintson, a radio star?
The Women: Yes.
The Opposite Sex: Yes.
And what about bitter off-screen rivals forced together in this movie?
The Women: Well, Joan Crawford was never a fan of Norma Shearer's, and she used to purposely try and ruin Norma's close-ups.
The Opposite Sex: Let's just say that the second Mrs. Dick Powell and the third Mrs. Dick Powell are in this movie and neither one particularly cared for the other.

The Women: Adrian, can't you tell?
The Opposite Sex: Helen Rose, can't you tell?
Is this movie still better than the 2008 remake of The Women?
The Women: Good God, yes!
The Opposite Sex: Yes, but I'm still not jazzed that there's any form of a remake of this movie.
