2. Rewatch all the Best Actress Oscar Winners — Or Start, At Least!
"It's a hefty list, so I plan to start, in chronological order. We'll see how far I get, but fingers crossed at least halfway? Maybe I'll be plucky and get through them all!"
Thank you for giving yourself some grace, past Jess! I am indeed about halfway through this project and I'm giving myself a new timeline: finish by mid-2026. Maybe even before the Oscars? Who knows. I got bogged down with a bunch of things outside the blog that prevented me from dedicating myself to this project fully, but it's still been fun watching how acting changes and what constitutes a winning performance.
I finished this project for the year with Ellen Burstyn in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, though I've only published my thoughts up to Jane Fonda in Klute. I figured that was a good place to stop, as a bunch of great '70s performances are coming up and I'd like to save them for after the holidays.
I am keeping an offline ranked list of what my favourite performances are, but I'll publish it fully when I'm done!
3. Try all of the Audrey Hepburn–themed cocktails on Cinema Sips
Oh Audrey, we never stood a chance on this one! Who knew that alcohol was so expensive and that it would so difficult to find smaller quantities of the liquors needed for these cocktails? Maybe something to carry over into 2026, because I do want to try them! There's one for Roman Holiday, Funny Face, Breakfast at Tiffany's, How to Steal a Million, Two for the Road and Wait Until Dark!
