Andy Hardy Gets Spring Fever (1939)

You plan on watching one Andy Hardy film because everyone else in the house is asleep and by the time it's over, everyone's awake and riveted to the screen and it turns into an all-day marathon! 

Polly Benedict is definitely my favourite character.

Andy Hardy Meets Debutante (1940)

Who among us doesn't want to run up a restaurant tab in New York and lie to our small-town friends about the company we keep?

Andy Hardy's Blonde Trouble (1944)

I enjoyed this one? I think? The dean was a creep, the twins were annoying, and Andy found out the hard way that he's a small fish in a small pond outside of Carvel. 

But I did miss Carvel and the small-town setting. 

Also, justice for Polly. They should've made a spin-off and let us follow the antics of Polly Benedict.

Love Laughs at Andy Hardy (1946)

There were definitely diminuishing returns on these Andy Hardy films at the end of it. This one seems to serve no other purpose than to cash a cheque for all the actors involved and maybe return to pre-war innocence? Also I'm sorry but you'll never do better than Polly Benedict, Andy. Justice for Polly.

I can't be arsed to properly rank these and I haven't seen them all yet, but I did enjoy the ones with Esther Williams and Lana Turner.

Andy Hardy Comes Home (1958)

I was not prepared for how goofy Andy Hardy would look middle-aged. Honestly, kind of bummed that the reboot never took off because I would love to see bucolic Andy Hardy deal with the '60s and his square kids turning into hippie teens protesting the war in Vietnam.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)

Objectively I know this is bad and that the special effects are the best part, but god damn if I didn't absolutely love this. My only regret is that I kept watching these Sinbad films (but stopped after the second one).
