Friday 57: Love in the Afternoon
When studio heads were like, "Which clearly-too-old actor have we not cast opposite Audrey Hepburn yet?" this was the result.
Love in the Afternoon
"A middle-aged playboy becomes fascinated by the daughter of a private detective who has been hired to entrap him with the wife of a client."
Starring: Audrey Hepburn, Gary Cooper, Maurice Chevalier
Thoughts: Gotta be honest, this is one of my least favourite Audrey Hepburn movies, and I can usually find a few things to love about every movie she made. My favourite part of this one? The ending. Both because it was over, but also because it was romantic, with her running along the train trying to talk herself into being fine that Gary Cooper was leaving, and then getting swept off her feet and into his arms in the final seconds.
