Old Hollywood Halloween Costume Ideas
Happy Halloween!
Looking for a few unconventional Old Hollywood costume ideas that aren't Audrey, Marilyn, James Dean or Elvis Presley? Look no further, I've put together some quick costume ideas below:
Maid Marian from The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)
A costume for the Canadian women out there who grew up needing to wear a snowsuit under their costumes.
Jane from It Happened to Jane (1959)
Put on blue jeans and a red checkered shirt. Carry around a plastic lobster.
Fran from The Apartment (1960)
Walk around with a deck of cards and whenever anyone asks you what you're dressed as, tell them "Shut up and deal."
Beverly from The Thrill of It All! (1963)
Walk around with a pink bar of soap and kiss the air every time you're asked who you are.
Annette from Million Dollar Mermaid (1953)
Get a mermaid costume from the Halloween store and staple Monopoly money on the fin until you get a total of $1,000,000.
Lina from Suspicion (1941)
Walk around looking terrified and suspicious of everyone, and hold up a full glass of milk that you're too terrified to drink.
Judy from I Love Melvin (1953)
Create a 'Look' magazine cover with your face on it, glue it to a real magazine, and tell everyone you're on your way to stardom. Then ask if they know where Melvin is.
Baby Jane Hudson from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962)
I think this one's self explanatory...
Jo from Funny Face (1957)
All black outfit, hair in a ponytail, and constantly tell people that you rather feel like expressing yourself, and you could certainly use a release! just like Jo.
Fun post! I greatly enjoyed these novel ideas!
