My Sister Eileen (1942)

My introduction to this 'film' was through its sequel (which, maybe not surprisingly, I loved? Mid-century, fun, great cast...) but finding the Rosalind Russell version has always been a quest and readers, I'm glad I watched it! I love this!

Mame (1974)

Pales in comparison to Auntie Mame but this was still fun. In places. If you tried not to think about how much better Angela Lansbury would've been.

Girls Can Play (1937)

I was expecting a heartfelt precursor to A League of Their Own but it ended up being a crime drama with women's baseball in the background. Still liked it, and enjoyed seeing an early Rita Hayworth!

Lili (1953)

This was charming, but part of me feels like I've been programmed to dislike Mel Ferrer because of how poorly he treated Audrey Hepburn...

I was influenced into watching this based on a tweet from someone I forget who basically said something along the lines of TCM never airs this and he personally asked them to and now it's on the schedule?

Anyways, I'm so glad that tweet passed along my timeline at the exact right time because this movie is a treasure!
