Charlize Therons Oscar Dress
This might've been the first time I watched the Oscars live, and my introduction to Charlize Theron.

And what an introduction! This Old Hollywood glam, the vintage hairdo, dripping in gold, it immediately made me take note of Charlize Theron (who won on her first nomination for Monster) and has turned me into a fan of hers ever since.
Charlize Theron wore Gucci at the Oscars in 2004. A slinky, golden shimmering dress with a deep slit in the front of the skirt. She'd tell Vogue in 2011 that she'd felt like a princess that evening; and would joke decades later about her tan, recalling "Everybody thought I had a fake tan, and the truth is that I was in Brazil for three weeks prior to the Oscars...And by the way, not a good decision. Like, do not do that either – fake tan, real tan."
Charlize would go on to become a fashion ambassador for Dior, wearing their clothes on the red carpet and representing their jewellery and perfume lines, but I absolutely love this Gucci concoction. So glam, and such a timeless look to cement her status in Hollywood!
