The Last Film of...Joan Crawford
Trog (1970)
Nothing to see here except an Ice Age-era caveman who thaws out in 1970s England and is studied and domesticated by anthropologist Joan Crawford, though businessmen in town are less than enthused with her pursuits.
Why Was This Joan Crawford's Last Film?
For starters, have you seen it? It's terrible! But also, Joan's career was winding down and she was getting more and more dissatisfied with the (bit) parts offered to her. It's kind of a sad end when you think of how long and successful her career was: she was a star of the silent era, successfully transition to sound, reinvented herself every time she was about to be pigeonholed and then started a career decline that ended with Trog.
Is This a Good Movie?
Pfft. No, not at all.
