I love a good MacBeth retelling and this was a very engaging film. I admittedly had no clue who Toshiro Mifune was before the Summer Under the Stars schedule was released, but I enjoyed watching this movie and learning more about him as an actor. The death scene was certainly something; much more realistic than what I'd expect for a mid-century film.
