Summer Under the Stars: Tony Randall

Star of the Day: Tony Randall

Island of Love (1963) - "A con artist scams a gangster into financing his movie."

I'm such a fan of the late '50s, early '60s comedies that drew actors like Tony Randall. Give me some antics, a fun cast, great interiors, and I'm ready to go!

I've DVR'd Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter and 7 Faces of Dr. Lao (I've seen just about every other film that was featured for Tony's day), but I went with Island of Love for my choice because of its Producers-esque narrative and the fact that Walter Matthau is also in this (love him). I have to say that overall it wasn't really my jam, but there were fun moments and the backdrop of the island of Hydra certainly wasn't anything to sneeze at!
