Summer Under the Stars: Van Heflin
Star of the Day: Van Heflin
Kid Glove Killer (1942) - "A police scientist investigates the mayor's murder."
I've always enjoyed Van Heflin's performances (and especially after Seven Sweethearts, my pick for Kathryn Grayson's day a week ago). There's something natural and charming about him, even when he's deeply embroiled in gangster flicks. I chose Kid Glove Killer because I enjoy a good mystery, and it didn't disappoint. Plus, that charming ending!
I also watched The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, which just cements my thoughts on Van Heflin and Barbara Stanwyck.
