Raise your hand if your introduction to Ernest Borgnine was in The Simpsons episode where he volunteers to be a Junior Campers father for a father-son weekend! Just me? 

This was enjoyable; I do like these late '60s ensemble heist movies. And I do like Ernest Borgnine, a scene stealer if ever there was one. And just a genuinely great actor. Marty pierces my heart every time I watch it.
