Summer Under the Stars: Anita Page
Star of the Day: Anita Page
Navy Blues (1929): "A sailor on leave falls for a dance-hall girl."
Like I said in my preview post for Summer Under the Stars, I've seen a few of Anita Page's films (notably, the Our Dancing Daughters/Our Modern Maidens/Our Blushing Brides trifecta) without singularly focusing on her, so I was looking forward to zoning in on her today.
I chose Navy Blues because I've also enjoyed the William Haines movies I've seen on TCM, and this one didn't disappoint. I also have an Anita Page/Marie Dressler flick set to DVR overnight that I can't wait to watch later, too!
