Oh, this was a good one. It's reportedly inspired by Ginger Rogers's rise to fame, which was an immediate draw. But beyond that, this is a tightly-woven story about a young woman who wants to be a star and the older sister (Ida Lupino) who'll do everything possible to make it happen. I was riveted!
