Star of the Day: William Powell
Rendezvous (1935): "A decoding expert tangles with enemy spies."
This was a sharp film, with stellar performances by William Powell and Rosalind Russell. William Powell was such a suave actor, it's always a treat to watch his movies.
Some of my other favourites that played yesterday include The Heavenly Body, Libelled Lady, Love Crazy, and Star of Midnight (alas, Canada never gets to watch The Thin Man).
