31 Days of Oscar: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Okay, day two and...I've seen every movie that was on the schedule for today. So I went with an old favourite amongst a schedule filled with old favourites: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
The barn-raising dance gets me every time. I love this choreography so much.
Nominations: Best Picture, Best Screenplay (Albert Hackett, Frances Goodrich, and Dorothy Kingsley based on the story "The Sobbin' Women" by Stephen Vincent Benét), Best Scoring of a Musical Picture (Adolph Deutsch and Saul Chaplin), Best Cinematography, Colour (George Folsey), Best Film Editing (Ralph E. Winters)
Won: Best Scoring of a Musical Picture
Putting this here so you can watch how perfect every second is.
