31 Days of Oscars: All That Jazz

This is one of my favourite musical movies (seriously, thank you Ann Reinking!)...

Every single dance sequence is perfection (I think I could perform 'Everything Old is New Again' if offered a million dollars). It's a pseudo-biopic of Bob Fosse's life directed by the man himself (because who else but Fosse had the skill to put his life story on the big screen, right?) and it's definitely one you should watch. I feel like it doesn't get enough love.

Nominations: Best Picture, Best Director (Bob Fosse), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Roy Scheider), Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen (Robert Alan Aurthur and Bob Fosse), Best Original Song Score and Its Adaptation or Adaptation Score (Ralph Burns), Best Costume Design (Albert Wolsky), Best Art Direction (Art Direction: Philip Rosenberg and Tony Walton; Set Decoration: Edward Stewart and Gary J. Brink), Best Cinematography (Giuseppe Rotunno), Best Film Editing (Alan Heim)

Won: Best Original Song Score and Its Adaptation or Adaptation Score, Best Costume Design, Best Art Direction, Best Film Editing
