This was such a sensual, exciting film. The acting is masterful, the songs are wonderful (perked up every time I recognized one of Carmen's tunes) and this is a masterpiece. Brock Peters, the reason for the choice, isn't in this much at all (it was his first film role, according to Wikipedia) but what a diving board for such a long, illustrious career!

So glad to finally cross this off my watchlist.
