Summer Under the Stars: Gene Tierney

Star of the Day: Gene Tierney

Leave Her to Heaven (1945): "A writer falls in love with a young socialite and they're soon married, but her obsessive love for him threatens to be the undoing of them both as well as everyone around them."

This was sleek and sexy and I want to watch more noirs if they're always like this! This felt like reading a very elegant book with the full moon on you; you're near a lake. Gene Tierney is magnificent in this, so cold, so elegant.
